Best day of my life!

Six months ago today, I was blessed to become the husband to the most wonderful woman I've ever known!  She is absolutely my best friend, best supporter, and quite possibly the only person that really "gets" me.

It was a beautiful day, filled with our families and closest friends.  I actually can't think of a single thing that went wrong that I would change.  We had the cutest ring bearers that were probably the only reason we were able to hold it together as well as we did.

We "met" through mutual friends at a New Years Eve party in 2007/2008.  I say "met" because we had actually met a couple of times previously, but this time was different.  We danced!  It was part of ridiculous game called Quelf.  I recommend you DON'T play it...unless shnockered on booze, or in the presence of someone you may want to marry.

Our first date was a day long excursion to Kings Island, and once I realized that I found someone that could put up with me for a whole day, I knew she was the one! We officially started dating in August of 2008, and I was completely mad about her!  The more and more I got to know her, the more and more I realized she was everything I every wanted in a wife, and even a lot of things I didn't even know I wanted!  I surprised her on a random day, the Monday before Thanksgiving in 2009, with a question.  It didn't quite come out exactly like I had practiced, "Will you marry me? Will you marry me? Will you marry me?" etc.  Instead it came out more like W....wi....will......you m.m.m.marr.....marr....marry me?.  I guess it worked though because she figured out what I was asking, said yes, and we were engaged.

Nine months later, and three days after our 2 year dating anniversary we got married.  Like I said previously, it was a wonderful day that I continue to be amazed at how great it was.  Everything went just right.  The weather was good, the ceremony was wonderful, the reception was beautiful and just like we pictured!(speaking of pictures, our wedding photographer...AWESOME!!  I'm still amazed when looking at the pictures.  She's got an incredible eye and passion for photography!  If you're getting married or need a photographer for anything, check her out.  She's great to work with, complete professional, and trust me, you won't be disappointed with the way she can capture your day!)  Back to the reception.

We even managed to pull of a big surprise for all of our guests!  Our first dance!

The dance was fun!  A little nerve racking, but we had a blast and it was a great surprise to all of our guests.  You can also see a bit of Lynette's take of the day from a post she did here.

I continue to be amazed everyday at how awesome my wife is.  She's gorgeous, classy, caring, down-to-earth, personable, gorgeous (wait...I already said that. It's worth mentioning again though), smart, funny, and I could go on and on.  She allows me to be myself, but doesn't let me get ahead of myself.  She lets me think big and dream about life, but keeps me very grounded into what's realistic.  She keeps me focused (which sometimes I know can be a task), and yet she's just as easily unfocused when it's the right time.  She's comfortable sitting on the couch for an entire day, drinking coffee, watching TV, and just relaxing.  She loves to cook and is a great one at that!  We are completely on the same page with everything in our life (money, goals, dreams, babies, etc) though she is becoming more and more easily swooned by all babies that are exponentially growing in numbers around us.  Basically, she's great!

Lynette,
I love you more than I could ever tell you!  You are absolutely wonderful and the best bestest friend and wife a guy could ever hope for.  I clearly got the better end of the deal, and I'm glad I get to wake up next to you every morning.  It's been a great 6 months!  I'm so excited for our future together, the things we'll do and accomplish, the children we'll raise, and the love we'll have for a long....long....long time.

I love you!
You're lucky, and extremely grateful husband!
